About
My path into tech is a bit unconventional. I spent close to a decade working on superyachts in the Mediterranean before making my way back to Australia. During that time I dabbled in e-commerce and was constantly coming up with ideas for apps and websites, but I didn't have the programming ability to actually build them.
Designing solutions to problems I observe is a regular thing for me. So, when LLMs became capable enough to genuinely help with coding, I finally started turning those ideas into reality, and that's when I got my first real exposure to the infrastructure layer behind applications.
I was instantly hooked. Infrastructure was exactly the space I'd been looking for without knowing it. It was the functionality layer, the place where "app ideas" actually get solved. It's where real problem-solving lives.
That interest turned into a deliberate career pivot into solutions architecture. It's the kind of field I work best in... The more I learn, the more interested I become, and I'm genuinely excited to be building a career in it.
